Steve Werth has practiced bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation since 1999. He has represented debtors, creditors, and trustees in a wide range of complex chapter 11 cases, involving airlines, music labels, and nutritional supplement manufacturers. He has represented clients in purchasing assets out of bankruptcy, negotiating payment of claims, defending and prosecuting avoidance actions, and in obtaining relief from the automatic stay.

Steve received his undergraduate degree from Pomona College. While there, he studied at University College in Oxford, England and later at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. He received his J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1999, where he served as president of Street Law, a student organization dedicated to teaching high school students about the law, and was a member of the Moot Court team.
