SulmeyerKupetz has had an active commercial collection practice since 1969, when Richard Baumann joined the firm. The firm's collection department represents national and local businesses, collection agencies and lending institutions in commercial collection matters throughout Southern California. The firm's collection attorneys are assisted by para-professionals specializing in collection work and by other attorneys at the firm when representation of creditor clients in bankruptcy proceedings is required. In typical collection matters, we make extensive efforts to collect the debt without litigation. Lawsuits are commenced only when we believe that it would be effective to do so.
