Asa S. Hami Appointed Co-Chair of California State Bar Insolvency Law Committee

Asa S. Hami has been appointed to serve as one of the two Co-Chairs of the California State Bar’s Insolvency Law Committee (ILC) for the 2016-2017 term.  In this role, together with his Co-Chair, Mr. Hami is responsible for, among many other tasks, setting and achieving the ILC’s goals for the upcoming year, coordinating and running the monthly ILC meetings throughout this term, establishing and overseeing the four ILC subcommittees that perform the core functions of the ILC, preparing the ILC’s budget for the year, participating in the monthly meetings of the Officers of the Standing Committees of the State Bar’s Business Law Section, and attending to the overall administration of the ILC.

Mr. Hami has been a member of the ILC since 2012, and, prior to his appointment as Co-Chair, has served as the Chair of the ILC’s Publications Subcommittee, Secretary of the ILC, and Co-Vice Chair of the ILC.

The ILC is part of the California State Bar’s Business Law Section, which serves as a forum to educate members on recent developments and current issues in all fields of business law and provides a platform for the business bar to reach the general public.
