Senior Counsel Cathy Ta was selected as an alternate lawyer representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference. She will represent the Central District of California, playing a vital role in a wide range of matters important to the federal courts within the Circuit, including rule changes, educational programs, and more. Currently, 168 lawyer representatives from across the Circuit work to foster open communication between judges and attorneys and provide support and advice in the functioning of the courts.
Ta and other lawyer representatives recently attended the Circuit’s Conference of Chief Bankruptcy Judges in Portland, Oregon. The conference focuses on various matters involving the application of federal bankruptcy law and the administration of bankruptcy courts. Ta will also participate in the Circuit’s next conference in Spokane, Washington, aimed at improving the administration of justice in the Ninth Circuit.
