Law360, Los Angeles (November 19, 2013, 8:32 PM ET) — The bankruptcy trustee of the California company behind the “Girls Gone Wild” video series asked the court Monday to approve a settlement with the Chapter 7 trustee of Mantra Films Inc., which would favorably resolve claims that the debtors sold videos owned by Mantra.
The settlement comes three months after a federal bankruptcy judge approved a settlement between casino magnate Stephen A. Wynn and GGW trustee R. Todd Nielson, reducing Wynn’s claims against the company
to $28 million. The new settlement with Mantra trustee Howard M. Ehrenberg, dated Nov. 15, will favorably resolve Ehrenberg’s proofs of claim and provide for the transfer to Nielson of certain “Girls Gone Wild” and “Guys Gone Wild” intellectual property, according to court documents.
