SulmeyerKupetz Welcomes Cathy Ta as Senior Counsel and Elevates Four Attorneys

SulmeyerKupetz is proud to announce that Cathy Ta has joined the firm as Senior Counsel, and the firm has elevated Asa Hami and Steve Werth to Senior Counsel, and Dave Richardson and Jeff Pomerance to Partner.

Ta brings more than 10 years of experience representing debtors, creditors, trustees and public agencies in all aspects of Chapter 9, 7 and 11 contested matters. Prior to joining the firm, she was Of Counsel at Best Best & Krieger, LLP, and she previously served as law clerk to the Honorable Marvin Isgur, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Texas. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School and her B.A. from Swarthmore College.

Hami and Werth, who have been with the firm for 10 years, will continue their representation of debtors, creditors, trustees and asset purchasers in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings. Richardson devotes his practice to corporate restructuring, commercial litigation and appellate matters and has been with the firm for 5 years. Pomerance represents individuals and businesses seeking assistance in creating, maximizing, protecting and retaining their value proposition throughout the business “life cycle.” He has been with the firm for 13 years.
