SulmeyerKupetz Elevates Asa Hami and Steve Werth to Partner

SulmeyerKupetz has announced the promotion of attorneys Asa Hami and Steve Werth to Partner. Hami and Werth have been with the firm for over a decade and bring extensive experience representing debtors, creditors, trustees and asset purchasers in Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases and in out-of-court restructurings and litigation matters.

Hami joined the firm in 2009, and has represented debtors, creditor committees, trustees, and other parties in interest in a broad range of bankruptcy-related matters and across different industries, including real estate retail, entertainment, and health and fitness.  He also has represented clients in various commercial disputes in federal and state courts. He received his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude, and B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles.

Werth joined the firm in 2008, and his practice focuses on representing Chapter 11 debtors in bankruptcy, and the rights of creditors and creditors’ committees in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Additionally, he has represented clients in diverse industries such as entertainment, import/export and real estate. He received his J.D. from the University of Southern California School of Law and his B.A. from Pomona College.
